1. (a) Give is the full meaning of the following acronyms?

(b) Define the Internet and explain the acronym WWW. (4 marks)

            c) List and explain any three (3) uses of the Internet (4.5 marks)

2. (a)  Write a short note on each of the following :

            (i) Markup Languages

            (ii) Physical Markup tags (with at least two examples)

            (iii) Logical Markup tags (with at least two examples)

            (3 marks each)

(b) What do you understand by Scripting? Mention any two Scripting programming languages. (4 marks)

c) Give any three (4) examples of Search Engines.(4.5 marks)

3. (a) Define HTML and describe how it works on the web. (5 marks)

(b) Mention two types and two uses of Hypertext (8 marks)

c) Describe any three (3) HTML tags. (4.5 marks)

4. (a) Write an HTML code segment to generate a table of professional league football results with the following column headings: TEAM, P, W, L, GF, GA, PTS and GD. Include sample data for any THREE teams (Hint: P=play, W=won, L=lost, D=Draw, GF=Goals for, GA= Goals against, PTS= Points, GD= Goals Difference (9.5marks)

(b) With respect to HTML write briefly on the following:

            (i) Major features

                        (ii) Absolute vs. Relative URLs (4marks each)

5. (a).  Define hypertext link and distinguish between hyperlink and hypertext  (4 marks)

(b) Write a short note on each of the following Object Oriented Programming concepts:

            (i) Encapsulation

(ii) Inheritance

            (ii) Polymorphism (3 marks each)

            c).  List any three (3) examples of OOP languages you know.(4.5 marks)

6    (a) What is JavaScript? (4 marks)

      (b) Explain the term Data Type in JavaScript ( 4 marks)

      © Give any three types of Primitive Data Types (4.5 marks)

(d) Differentiate between JavaScript and Java (at least 5).  (5 marks)
